GUMC Childrens’ Mission

The children of Grace United Methodist Church have an exciting mission this Fall. Along with Spirit Lake Ministries, they are collecting gift items for children living on reservations in North Dakota. The items collected are put into a shoebox and are given to the children in time for Christmas. Generally the volunteers there deliver over 6000 shoeboxes to six different reservations.

As part of their work, the children of Grace are asking for the community’s help to gather items for the shoeboxes. A list has been provided below. Our children will be scheduling pick ups in the coming weeks. Items can also be dropped off at the Grace United Methodist Church, 246 W. Pearl St., Belleville, Wednesdays from 1-2pm and 6-7pm or before or after services at 9am Sunday mornings. They will be preparing the boxes and shipping them out to arrive in time to distribute before Christmas. If you are able to give, please have your items dropped off before October 30th. To schedule a pick up outside of drop off times, please contact Pastor Michael by email at
